DIN KYC Filing

New Due Dates & Timelines

The due date for the regular triennial filing is June 30 of the respective financial year. Your next filing window depends on when your DIN was approved or when your last KYC was filed.

  • For existing directors (who successfully updated KYC up to FY 2025–26): Your next mandatory KYC filing is due between April 1, 2028, and June 30, 2028.
  • For new directors (allotted a DIN during FY 2025–26): Your first mandatory KYC filing is due between April 1, 2029, and June 30, 2029.

What Form Do You Use?

The standalone forms (DIR-3 KYC and DIR-3 KYC-Web) have been consolidated into a singular online portal format:

  • Form DIR-3 KYC Web: Used for regular triennial compliance filings to confirm that data remains unchanged.
  • First-Time / Change of Details: Any first-time filing or active updates to your mobile number, email ID, or residential address must be submitted via the standard eForm configuration within 30 days of the change. Note: Making an intermediate change does not reset or alter your primary three-year regular filing cycle.

Fees and Penalties

  • On-time Filing: There is no government fee (₹0) if you file on or before the June 30 due date.
  • Delayed Filing: Missing your calculated due date triggers an automatic late fee penalty of ₹5,000.

DIN Deactivation: The MCA will mark non-compliant Director Identification Numbers as "Deactivated due to non-filing of KYC", which bars you from acting as an active corporate director or signing official returns until resolved.
